Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure for vaginal rejuvenation. It helps in tightening the vaginal canal as well as reshaping the vaginal opening. Moreover, it is commonly performed in combination with other vaginal rejuvenation procedures, like perineoplasty, labiaplasty, or hoodectomy.
As a result of this treatment, women feel more confident with their bodies. They achieve sexual gratification and enjoy sexual activities more. Their physical discomfort also alleviates after the treatment.

Revitalize and Enhance
Pregnancy and childbirth can take a toll on a woman’s body. Especially in the case of vaginal delivery, women’s bodies go through a lot of physical stress. Childbirth can make the vaginal canal muscles weak. The vagina becomes stretched during this time, and some women feel it never goes back to its original state. Moreover, some women go through vaginal loosening due to age. All these conditions make women uncomfortable during sexual activities or in wearing tampons.
A good candidate for vaginoplasty is one who:
Gave birth vaginally once or multiple times.
Experiences vaginal laxity
Has reduced sensation during intercourse
Has problems with incontinence
Has protruding vaginal tissues
Who is a Candidate for Vaginoplasty?
How is the Procedure Performed?
Dr Maria performs vaginoplasty under general anesthesia which takes an average of 60 minutes. Usually, vaginoplasty is combined with perineoplasty for the best functional and aesthetic outcome.
Dr Maria is using Radiofrequency – a cutting-edge technology – in all her surgeries. With radiofrequency, which is the least invasive surgical tool, you can achieve the best and most detailed cosmetic results.
Moreover, Dr Maria uses a single suture as compared to traditional vaginoplasty whereby multiple sutures are used. As a result of using the single suture, the downtime and post-operative pain and discomfort are minimal.
Pre-Op Instructions
Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure, therefore, patients need to prepare for it beforehand. Keep the following instructions in mind before undergoing the procedure:
Avoid taking any blood-thinning medication for 2 weeks before the procedure.
Try to avoid smoking before and after the surgery
Do not drink any alcohol a day before the surgery
Prime the vagina with a special cream if Dr Maria provides you with one
Recovery After Labia Minoraplasty
After the surgery, Dr Maria will ask you to stay at home and ice the target area for 3 days. One week later, you will be able to resume your daily routine, however, you shouldn’t have intercourse, go swimming, and engage in strenuous exercise for 6 weeks. Within the 6 weeks, Dr Maria will provide you with a vaginal cream to apply every evening before bed.
After these initial 6 weeks, you might be asked to use dilators to soothe the vaginal entrance.
